As he sipped his drink and looked around the club, Kevin felt that it

As he sipped his drink and looked around the club, Kevin felt that it was no wonder he hadn't been dating much lately. Either the women in the clubs were far too young for him or they were already with someone. He also knew that, even though this club was his regular hangout, it was not somewhere he'd ever bring a woman on a first date. It was fun but the music was always too loud, the drinks were watered down and the dance floor was always over-crowded. Yet, there he was, every Friday night, on the same bar stool. At the end of each weekend, he'd think to himself that, if he stood any chance of dating again in his lifetime, he really needed to find a new venue.
On this particular Friday night, Kevin left his spot and went outside to smoke a cigarette. As he lit it, a very sultry voice said, "Would you have another one of those by chance?" He looked up to find the most stunning redhead standing in front of him. "Certainly," he responded and, like a gentleman, held out his lighter for her. Inhaling deeply, she said simply, "Jacqueline." He introduced himself as Kevin and couldn't do much more than stare. She was incredible. Sexy, well-dressed and with such an air of confidence that it was breathtaking. "Are you here alone, Kevin?" she asked. "I am," he said softly. "Not dating anyone at the moment so I'm just here with a couple of my buddies. You?" "Oh I'm here alone," she said, in a voice that was almost a caress. Kevin's interest was certainly piqued. They chatted about nothing in particular while they smoked and Kevin noticed that, each time she asked him a question, she would touch his arm and look him directly in the eyes. He found it very exciting and had to admit that her physical closeness was incredibly arousing.
"I should really be getting back inside," Jacqueline whispered almost in his ear, "unless you were planning to smoke some more?" Kevin said he'd best be getting back to his friends but he absolutely had no interest in letting go of this brief encounter. Reaching into her tiny handbag, Jacqueline pulled out a white card and handed it to him. "If you ever want to get together, Kevin, give me a call at this number," she purred. At that moment, Kevin was incredibly happy he wasn't dating anyone. There was absolutely no way he was going to let this opportunity slip from his grasp. He watched as Jacqueline strolled back into the club and knew that, as soon as possible, he'd be seeing much more of her.
