I think they prefer Internet dating because for them it is much easier. You get to meet a lot of prospective partners through the net. It is much convenient to have relationships, though they expect these relationships to be short lived and even flings with probable dates online. Sometimes it is quite cute to have these kind of relationships because as they say no harm can be done to either party. I myself has met a few men on line and i can say that some are good and some are not. Most men who get on these online dating sites or social networking sites use them for these reasons, to take advantage of vulnerable women. I can also say that it is not only men who do that, there are also some women who take advantage of men. There are a lot of good, trusting, kind and honest people i have met here too. I have made a lot of good friends who have stayed in touch through the years. But sadly, there are those who befriend you, win your trust and when they have won your trust, they will try to manipulate you.

Internet is a great technology that has been helping us in everything. In communication, like reaching out for long lost friends and relatives. In keeping up to date in the news around the world. Keeping us in touch even with people we really do not know personally but like in the case of the recent flash floods in the Philippines, a lot of calls for help has been through the net. It is so heart warming to see and to know that it has helped a lot of people. But sad to say, there are people out there who use the net for unpleasant things, like trying to hurt other people by posting negative criticisms and other nasty things about people, in most cases "innocent people" at that.
