Some people love Internet dating, while others hate it. What is Internet dating actually? Is it something only modern people know or the irony of it is that it's just another cyber love without a real love meaning to it? To think about it, there is actually a lot of definition to the term Internet dating, if you ask me.

It doesn't mean that for the ladies, it's just to get a husband on the Internet, whom is close to the look of an idol whom you really adore. It also doesn't mean intimate caressing after marriage and having been done with it. Internet love; just like any other love out there needs mutual efforts for it to work. There are lots of people using different methods to find their suitors to be. Some choose the traditional method of recommendations from their friends, while others are more than happy to meet naturally or through internet dating.

I was talking to my aunt the other day and she was quite surprised to find that there are people nowadays using this method of getting to know one another. I told her not to be so surprised because I also have a couple of friends whom found their suitors through online too. She was baffled. I mean, she thought the Internet is just a medium to research on information and whatnot. She could not imagine that it can be used for looking for love too. Modern degree love; she calls it. There is actually nothing bad or good about it. Just like any other love story, the Internet revolution is just a technical term. Genuinely, the personalities are what make or break a person or the love that is being built. At the end of the day, couples break up, some ending up in marriage and many more.

If you have ever heard or read the news, there will bound to be Internet love stories gone wrong. Like a blind date ending up in murder, or worst, some 'rape' cases too. That's just too scary to imagine, but these things are happening in reality and we have to really beware of such things. Do take note of who your daughter or son is seeing and just making sure that they will not get into trouble. Especially when it comes to the term Internet love. Not all relationships will turn out bad, so give that bit of trust to your children and giving the benefit of the doubt that they are indeed making a good decision. Show them your goodwill, and do not underestimate them ever. At the same time, advise them on Internet dangers and what worst things could have happened so that they will understand the need to be wary when something seems to go wrong somewhere.
